GPS Power Outlet

Just purchased a GARMIN GPS. Is there a power outlet in a Smart? Or will I need some sort of adapter? Having never smoked - just don't see the usual receptical. LOL I do use the glove compartment for my recorded XM Satellite recordings. The under dash plug seems too small?? HELP!

(Searches didn't help.)

Only 1 built in plug in the smart.
Under the dash near the middle drivers side.

There is no lighter in the power outlet, just a plastic cover.

Yes, I took off that little plug (says 12V Max, 5A). Just didn't want to force it. Hubby's an E.E., long commute works with heavy industry - he'll laugh at me. Just trying to be independent.

As an E.E., he should be able to handle this: Additional 12v socket (updated)

No need to feel foolish

My Daddy told me; the only foolish question is the one you DON'T ask

Just glad you got it going
