Grrr got wrong oil, 0W-30 Mobil 1

Hey All,

I'm ready to do oil change right now. They gave me wrong oil.
I got mobil 1 Advanced fuel economy 0W-30

I'm in NYC, don't know anything about oil weights, and what not.

Temps will soon be getting into the 80's & and 90's in summer & I know I won't be changing oil probably until next spring.

Is this good or no good?? It says warranty protection for 5W-30 & 10W-30 requirements.

I read some of the other posts but they're way too technical for me

it would likely be fine, and some have been running the 5-30 successfully, but personally, I would just go get the 0-40 [but that's just me].

Thanks Kenny. I didn't want to chance it either, went and exchanged it for 0-40.
Only to find that the oil drain screw is huge, and I don't have the right socket lol.
you wouldn't happen to know how many mm the screw is would you?

We are talking full synthetic oils here, right? OK, I see we are....

PS - 24mm on the drain plug (and you may need a "helper" as well.)

A 15/16" socket also works well, if that's easier for you to find.

Just fortify it with say two Qts. 5w40's and 1 3\4 Qts. of 0w30... It all blends real nice together... Then in the spring do the same thing...

Holy S*&% I can't catch a break.
So I went to auto parts store, got the only 24mm socket they had left which was a deep socket, and had to buy adapter from 3/8"-1/2" also.
Get home, and there is no room, because deep socket is too long Grrrrr.
Drive to another auto parts, get a short 24mm socket.
Get Home, but can't crack the nut. This Mother is welded on there.
I'm second guessing my self whether i'm turning the ratchet the right way.

Does any one remember last time they did oil change, if from the rear of the car, you were pushing ratchet towards front of car or pulling towards back?

I'm at wits end here.
