Headlights on in Daylight with Auto On

Not quite four weeks since I took possession. My headlights are on in full daylight when I have them set to auto in my Cabrio. This just started a couple of days ago. I checked to make sure nothing is blocking the sensor. Maybe I should start making a list. It is almost 300 miles one way to a dealer. : (

There have been a few times when my windshield wipers have made a single sweep upon startup too. I wasn't so worried about that, though it could be related since they're both controlled by the same sensor.

It doesn't hurt to call or e-mail the dealer, also gives them a heads up if they have to get parts from across the pond.

That's the mid-year DRL mod.

jwight - So, when my throttle sticks, and it doesn't, are you going to refer to it as the mid-year cruise control feature?

No, cruise control is the smart supplied broomstick-under-the-dash mod.

Oh crap, I thought that was the jack stand that was supposed to go with the hidden spare, scissor jack, and lug wrench. I thought it looked a bit tall for a stand...

My lights are often on as well. I took it in to the dealer and they essentially said nothing could be done. They reset the computer, which did nothing, and were supposed to contact the service gurus and get back to me. I haven't heard anything back from them and it has been over a month.

I thought I read somewhere on Evilution's site a procedure for enabling/disabling the DRL's.

Apparently this can be done on the Euro smarts, possibly through their smart centers. At this point, that info, if it exists, hasn't been passed to the smart USA centers, and the Canadian cars already have DRLs. I just turn the low beams on after starting the car and drive it that way.

Wait... did they really put in DRLs? Sometimes I catch the sarcasm, sometimes a swing and a miss...
