My Radio 10 plays without turning on the key. I just have to push the "on" button. I think it does shut off after 10 minutes though unless you push the button again.

Actually, pushing the "on" button without the key on will give you 60 minutes of "play" time

When all else fails, read the manual

Seems a more elegant solution would be to use a relay and tap into the rear defroster switch as the relay trigger.

Personally, I don't mind the stock setup, as the heat only comes on in low temperatures anyway.

I understand that the 09's and on have the mirror heaters running off the Rear window defroster circuit. Just thought I would mention it to save some one the trouble of doing this needlessly.
