I called my dealer, and they asked if I could get it to make the sound again, and I told them if I let the car sit for awhile and cool down, it will probably make a noise, so let me know what your dealer does for you.
Just got my car back from the dealer, where they treated me with excellent customer service. Turns out it was the blower motor which had gone kaput. They had to ship one in from overseas, but all is well now.
