How do I find smart paint formulas?

If a paint shop needs to mix paint to match smart colors, how do they determine the mixture formula?

(I understand that big paint companies like Sherwin Automotive makes smart colors, but I am searching for the mix formula.)

Has anybody succeeded in finding a paint code on their smart? Body shop looked everywhere without luck, nor could they find any info in their database. The quarter panel I need comes painted, so not a huge issue, but I'm curious. I have a couple tiny paint nicks that I'd like to touch up, but I've found no paint info anywhere.

Thanks! I didn't realize that Sherwin-Williams had the formulas for many different smart colors.
