How is the engine and transmission removed?

This is for 2005 Canadian model CDI. Does it come out as an assembly with the rear suspension? Once it's removed how do you tow the body? Do you replace the suspension sans drivetrain?

Yes it's all one assembly complete drivetrain and suspension. Held in by four bolts. I suppose you could replace it without trans if you wanted. FQ101 has a complete how to.
