I have a problem - turn signals

I just had my smart tinted with 5% film all around and 35% tint on the front windshield. when i received my car back the front dash was a bit wet witch is understandable due to the tinting. but then all of the sudden i hear a bit of a short circuit and now my front blinkers will not turn on when i hit the blinker and the rear ones are at hyper speed when i use the blinker. anyone know what is going on? checked some fuses but the manual can only say so much about fuses.. any help is very MUCH appreciated.

and please no haters on the front tint

I would suspect that if they are tinting windshields they either don't have one or won't have one for long...... Unless this is a show car and travels on a trailer.

Get thee to thy dealership! Get the safety issues fixed. Try to get some testimony from the dealer that the tint install was or was not the cause. If the tint install was not at fault, you have a warranty issue, if it was due to the tint install, you pay the dealer for the fix, then go after the tint company for reimbursement.

that's probably what i am going to do. I am going to take it to the dealer but will not say anything about the tint. if they suggest it was the tint. then it is a different story

If the blinkers are real fast, usually that indicates a bulb in the system is burned out, the flasher is balanced for the amount of current it takes to light all the bulbs on the circuit, if one bulb is out the others flash faster than normal. I don't know if this is true with a Smart, but it is with most other cars.

I checked the front blinkers and they are not burned out. They just don't turn on at all Or the side blinkers.

Also when I lock the car only therear lights blink 3 times. Nothing in the front

also my low beams and high beams and the parking lights turn on with no problem.. its the front blinkers and side blinkers that are the problem

Try the emergency flashers, see if the fronts still do not blink. If they are still dead, then it is either a fuse or wiring problem. If moisture got to the fuse panel, that would blow the fuses. If you replace the fuses, be sure not to use the Chinese Fuses, that have the recall, then you will really have a problem.
