I waxed my passion about 2 weeks ago using paste wax, know anything that removes the haze off the plastic parts? I got a little too close.

Go over the black plastic with Kiwi black shoe polish. It covers the haze and buffs out very well.I got a little sloppy when I waxed the car so I tried it.On the spots where I got the shoe polish on the paint ,it still beaded up longer than the regular wax did.

Here are some things to try that others have sugested.
A product called "Back to black" seems to work kind of well.
And WD 40 has been sugested before to remove that stuff

I usualy find that hase realy shows up the next time I wash the car. I thought I was realy carfull this time but I guess I was wrong and will need to spend some more time on the car cleaning the black as well.

I threw away my chamois!

When drying my cabriolet top with a chamois, there would always be little specks all over the top when it dried. Turns out, it was the chamois. I bought a pack of microfiber cleaning clothes from walmart auto dept. They work really well. They are much more absorbant and when dry, the top looks jet black new.

A word of caution on clay bars...

Quote:
CAR CLAY BAR FORMULATIONS
Detailing clay formulation determines the optimal function of the clay and its potential to do damage when used improperly.

As an example, a professional grade clay bar that’s designed to remove paint overspray is very firm and contains abrasives equivalent to heavy rubbing compound. Used properly it will remove heavy overspray without damaging the paint. Used improperly, it can leave some pretty significant surface marring. That’s why it’s a professional product.

Most consumer grade detailing clays are designed to be used as an annual or semi-annual paint maintenance tool prior to polishing and waxing. At this frequency, these detailing clay products work great. Simply use the clay as part of your major detailing regimen.

The problem we were beginning to see is that many car enthusiasts wanted to clay their vehicles frequently; as often as monthly. At this rate of use, some consumer grade detailing clay can begin to dull clear coat finishes. After all, it is an abrasive!

So, it's possible to overdo it on the clay bar; doesn't need to be done, IMHO, unless the car really needs it.

..but then again...there's a clay in foam style that is not as abrasive as the bar and does a great job...
