Knocking from wheel or brakes! Help!

I have an appointment Monday but want the communities help if I can get it. Driving at any speed, when I let off the gas there is a loud knocking noise from I think my front left wheel... sounds to me like the caliper is loose and rattling but it's not... any ideas. the noise goes away if braking only does it on a roll with no acceleration!

Sounds like a bad CV joint to me.

Could also be a cracked brake pad But, If brakes it would still do it under Acceleration

If it's truly coming from the front it won't be a CV joint. No idea what it could be other than something inside the wheel well that hits the wheel under deceleration.

actually, it sounds to me like a wheel weight is hitting the caliper. When you apply the brakes, the caliper is pulled inwards and away from the wheel spokes. Check the wheel weights on that side to see if there are any scrape marks on them. Hope that helps!
