No problem. Glad that I could help.

And that I finally got something right.

My 2000 forTwo Cabrio used to flash three times when I locked the doors...now, it waits about 20 seconds, then flashes about 100 times! After about 20 seconds, it flashes 100 more times...anyone have any ideas? I have closed and reclosed all the doors numerous times...but no change.

Try to use the second key. Numerous flash from the car can be a symptom of a weak battery in the fob.

Several times my UFO beeped and locked the car while in the garage, I though maybe the key fob button stuck out too far and somehow I activated the lock button. Once I left the car in the garage, with the widows down, and the thing activated the alarm. The next morning at 05:30 I tried the door it would not open, so I reached inside and opened the door. Well I found out the alarm work very good and loud. I also found out you cannot turn off the alarm with the key fob. I had to start the car before the alarm went off. I probably woke up several late riser neighbors.
Last weekend I was working in the yard and UFO beeped, lights flashed for more than the normal 3 times, I did not have the key with me so I had to run in the house to get the keys, by the time I got back to UFO, the beeping and flashing had stopped. Since I live near an airport, I thought maybe a stray radio or radar signal has set the the alarm. I have had UFO 6 months and I am still being amazed with it's gimmicks and quirks.

During a smart gathering near the Pentagon, I purposefully left a window open, locked the car and, several minutes later, reached for a cup in the cup holder: the loud alarm went off, and I did silenced it using the fob.
From the Owner's Manual:
Quote:
Cancelling the alarm
> Insert the key in the starter switch
> Turn starter switch in position 1
or
> Press button "lock" or "unlock" on the key.

Can anyone tell me the location of the device that emits the (offensive) beeps when the alarm is set? I've searched and searched. GOT TO DISABLE IT.

Chances are if you disable the beeps you will disable the actual alarm.

Maybe, but I don't think so. Posters have said the actual alarm is from a different source, not from the beeping device. I any event, my thought is to place resistence in line with the voltage source, thus reducing the audio level.

Either way, even if the alarm and the annunciator are the same, it must have differing inputs for the two functions. I would work only with the annunciator.
