I have 1400 miles on my car yet the indicator is saying there is 9900 miles till next service. If I go by that it will be 11300 miles before it goes off and I do my service which is wrong as first maintenance is to be done at 10000. If I wait till wrenches finally flash at 11300 saying maintenance is needed and reset to alert it's still going to be off as it will be counting down 10000 miles from wrong point. I'm not really happy right now about this and need to know is there anything that can be done to fix it.
Do you really think you will forget what 10,000 mile means to your car? Just reset it at 10,000. Did you go to the dealer lately? They might have reset it by mistake.

SAM reset and new cluster (odometer/speedometer etc. ... the whole dang pod). I guess dealer can reset it when I get service at 10000 miles I would hope for it to start counting down again from 10000. I was hoping there was a way to set the indicator mileage similar to how you set the clock.
If there is a way to reset it I do not know how. I do remember on my mountanier you could set the oil life to more or less mile.
evilution's website says on 451 '08 and onward smart has to reset the service level indicator. I'll tell them to when they do my 10000 maintenance to reset it early because I know at that point the wrench won't be up yet hehehe.
When it gets reset at 10,000... it will count down correctly from that point. I don't think it is possible to reset it to 8,600 miles to go before service.
