I am now a member of the sacred "I RESET MY WRENCH !!" club !!
We need a special sticker or a secret handshake or something for getting that simple process to work ! I think the secret is holding your tongue out juuuust right...
I added up my costs of doing my own oil change, it came to 82 bucks, I don't know how everyone is coming up with 26 or so bucks....
Maybe because I did the "real deal" that the dealer would do. I replaced the cabin filter (suprised how dirty mine was and the replacement was more stout), smart (mitsu) brand oil filter, and 4 quarts of Mobil 1 0W-40.

My dealer charges 89.00 bucks think i will take a drive to have it done, they are next to a mall
I cleaned my AC filter...Moble 1 filter and 4 quarts of 0w-40 on sale is under $30.00
I was going to just clean my cabin filter also, but when I compared it with the new OEM filter, the original seemed so...flimsy. Also, the replacement looked like it was impregnated with charcoal or something similar.
Because, y'know, when you have a cabrio and have the top down as much as possible, it's mucho important to make sure the air coming out of the vents is filtered......

I managed to reset the counter after about 20 tries.
I have a 2009 ForTwo with 5100 miles.
The process that finally worked for me was.
Car off, Get in, close door, fasten seat belt. ( I was leaving anyway, just trying again.)
1) Turn on ignition, not starting the car.
2) Quickly double click the left dash button to bring up the wrench. Do not hold.
3) Turn off ignition.
4) Press and hold left button
5) Turn on ignition, not starting the car still holding the left button.
6) Count ten flashes on the wench and release left button, I immediately got the 10000 and the double wrench.
This was done quickly, the whole thing was under 12 seconds. Steps 1-3 were under a second.
Thanks again

All 2009 owners should print, laminate and save for in-car storage, next to your registration/insurance papers. OK, I have poor memory.
