I started getting that funny blinking wrench whenever I start the car and I have 5K on the odometer. Tried both "methods"....but couldn't get it to work. Off to the dealer I guess.

When was you car built? Was it about a year ago? The alert is also time controlled.

So, it's just reminding me that it's my cars birthday?

If it's coming, yes: 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first...

I did the Evilution method yesterday. I had a wrench and -56 showing. It took 6-7 times and finally a 10,000 showed up. It seems like an easy reset, until you try it and it doesn't reset - have patience grasshoppers..........

I tried both methods too. Mine wouldn`t reset and I only have 3300 miles on it.

My dealer is 2 1/2 hours away so I guess i`ll have to live with it for awhile.

(Re: turning off) Maintenance Indicator

OK. I've tried both methods to turn off the Maintenance Wrench but neither works. Is there a third way? Does it make a difference if the instrument cluster is in Kilometers? My car was purchased in Oct. 2008. If that's an issue.

If you've tried these two don't know what to tell you.

Can it be cleared with an OBD-II reader?
