I had the same thing and after a few days I decided to search the archives and came up with your fix. Went out and had it done within 20 seconds. Of course it also reset my trip odometer, but no big deal on that. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Reset works on our '08 with 2.0 upgrade and our '09....
However on the '09 had to add a step to timhood's procedure. Turn key on to position 1 then off then follow timhoods directions.

There are some that will not reset using this method. I have been able to reset mine 3 time now( over 30K) and a fellow SCOA member asked if I could help him do his. He came over, and it would not reset, no matter what I tried. In fact, I couldn't even get the maintenance interval to come up by double pressing the button. Just to prove to him that it does work, I went into the garage and reset mine the first try! Not sure the difference, we both have '08's his is two months newer than mine, and we both have had the 2.0 update done.

I have spent hours trying every method that has been posted with zero results
i do not consider myself inept as i am able to service my car myself so i consider that i should be able to reset a function on car
i will just live with it blinking till i get a chance to have dealer do although at the addition of 2.0 upgrade the dealer did not reset the wrench-i sent the wife to have it done and she came back with the wrench still blinking
