More Cabin Ventilation?

Lack of outside air ventilation, is a problem with our Passion. Because the Pan roof overheats the cabin, the air-con must be running most of the summer.

Many mild days and evenings I have just cruised my other cars with the window down and the air intake open, But I feel very little vent air coming in on this car.

Anyone got a fix on this? And just where is the cabin vent filter located? Are we over filtered ?
A2Jack.

Open the windows and get a straight shot of "country air", passanger footwell you can just slide it out and see if that is more to your taste.
Hope that helps

when the AC button and the re-circulate button are disengaged, you are venting outside air into the cabin.

the fresh air intake is loacted beneath the front windsheild.

you can control the flow: either through the footwell vents, or the dash vent...or any combination...using the vent selector dial.

you can run the fan at whatever speed you like...or have no fan on at all if you like.

good luck!

ps: the cabin air filter is located under the front service flap (the hood).

it's in that black cylindrical case under-hood on the passenger side.

A Model "260" air conditioner is where you roll down 2 windows and go 60.

Remove the fabric sunshade and open it up on your workbench. Now spray the topside of the fabric with silver paint and it will reflect more sunlight. Reinstall it and keep it closed. You won't see any difference inside the car since you are only painting the topside.

yeah, I noticed that the vent doesn't have a lot of "natural push" through it. Presumably the fan will increase air flow, but its been too warm these days to really see how well the air from outside will cool the car in the non-summer months.

The cabin filter is located inside the cabin, under the dashboard, just to the right of the accelerator pedal.

It sits vertically in a plastic housing. To remove: Simply undo three snap clips, open the cover, and it slides right out...

The car doesn't have enough venting OUT.
That's why the doors close so hard without cracking a window.
Next time someone has the rear panels off they need to look for a good place to put a flap vent.
I have good experience with Subarus and this type of vent.
They come with two holes already, one on each side of the trunk, but one has a blanking plate.
When I opened up the second hole by installing the second flap, the interior air flow improved a bunch.

I'm going to copy this to Evilution!
