Not sure if this is a problem or not... (Re: drivers-side footwell pulsation)

I'm having an odd thing happen everynow and then and I'm wanting to check to see if it's an issue or not. I have a 2009 Pure and when I am driving in auto, whenever I speed up, like to get on the highway, it will randomly feel like somebody is drumming on my left hand side under my feet just for a second and then stop. It's really strong and doesn't do it all the time, and doesn't do it everytime. Any idea what it might be, or what might cause it, or if I should worry? Just 900 miles.

Thanks.

To me, it sounds as if you're describing the normal feeling of the ABS pump running its test cycle. The feeling is a short series of pulses or "bumps", almost as if you drove over a tiny washboard, and it's most noticeable through the driver's floorboard.

That was the best picture ever. I really appreciate that. I searched and searched and have been really worried and thought about calling the dealership but am glad I asked here first.

It should happen every time you start the car and get up to around 7 mph. That would be the ABS test. If is when you hopping on the Highway it may be something else.

But the ABS test thumpthumpthump has not been discussed in a while. Used to be a weekly thing but not lately
