Operate your windows without the ignition on or the key in

You can now operate your windows without the need to have the ignition on or the key in.

We have just added a new, little accessory to our list of items for the smart that is very easy to install and provides you with the ability to operate your windows without the key.

A similar item sells in the EU for over $30. If you are handy you can make a mod similar to this by yourself or simply buy one that already has all the right connections made.

Here is the direct product link:

smart car Fuse Expander - Ignition Free Window Modification

We have also uploaded the install instructions on the product page in case someone would like to take a look at them first.

Thanks again for your support everyone.

It was fuse #4 on my 2008 451. Works beautifully!

I just verified Fuse #3 works for my 2008 451, as noted in the instructions and on the Evilution site. Please follow the Smart Madness instructions when installing the kit.

For a $1.50 in parts you can have a useful mod.

Turns out, if you connect to the WRONG SIDE of fuse #4 in a 2008 451, the window mod will work, but the blower will not.

After seeing others post that their 451s were on fuse #3 and checking the manual, I went out and tried the blower annnndddd...nada.

Fuse position swap effected and---ZOWIE! Windows and blower both function.

Seems, however, the transmogrifier isn't getting full power now. Troubleshooting continues. If the smilies were enabled right now, there'd be an embarrassed smilie right here( )

By the way, I'd guess my parts cost at closer to 50 cents

It's not the parts - it's knowing what to do with them.
