I know what you're saying, but it still begs the question of service for those hundreds of miles from their smart centers. This situation has been there since Day 1 and smart has only two choices as I see it - tow the car in for repairs or, in the case of something relatively simple such as the subject of this thread, ship the part to the owner for local repair. Yes, I suppose somebody could invent the secondary air injection fault, but why? For a $37 part? I e-mailed Ken Kettenbiel about this several weeks ago and unfortunately haven't received a reply.
