After 1100 miles or so, I got the 410 code on my ScanGauge (the engine light had just lit) and called my dealer. She checked with the tech dept and told me to come in that afternoon, which turned out not to be too inconvenient. They replaced whatever needed replacing, I guess, and the car was ready a few hours later.
Mine came on . I read it with my scanner and called the dealer. They fixed it in under 30 minutes. Secondary air valve. These will probably be a recall as it fails on many Smarts.

Do any of you have an invoice with the part number for the valve on it?
I want to be sure it's in stock for my appointment next week.

I seem to be getting better gas mileage w/out a functioning one. have not had time for the dealer yet. glad to hear it's a quick fix though!
