I'm right there wondering with you Padawan, as I mentioned in the last thread. Thanks for reviving the issue and pushing for answers. I've kinda gotten used to my noise which is why I mostly let the issue drop, but I'd still like to know if it's something that can be fixed (or should be fixed)

I've got a 2008 Cabrio and suffering the same issue! The sound is so lout it's driving me mad! Anyone sorted out a solution?

One thing is known, It has not disabled a smart...At least noone posted that it did. All the fluid lined run up the center of the car from the rear.
