Passion hatch window is marring the body panel!

We've had our Passion for over 7 months. Just noticed last week while washing her that the rear window glass is rubbing the body panel on one side and is leaving a mark. Other side is fine, so am thinking the alignment has shifted. Also have noticed an intermittent "buzzing" that seems to come from the black cover that is inside on the upper part of the rear window. Could be related, I suppose, as it's on the same side.

Has anyone experienced or heard of an alignment issue with the back window? Is there any adjustment I can make? May have to cave and take her in to the dealer.

Thanks.

Unfortunately yes!
See:
Uneven upper tailgate
So, it seems that it's an easy fix by your Dealer. Or a DIY, though the thread didn't give a step by step guide... (If I remember correctly).

"It is a very simple fix, requiring only an 8mm wrench (incorrect tool, but it fits fine) to loosen the two bolts in the bracket going into the glass mount. With the gate open, loosen, slide the glass toward the front of the car and snug the bolts. Close and compare the gap across the bottom. Rinse and repeat. When everything is even, tighten the bolts snugly without wringing them off.
Just have a little patience and don't assume a single "loosen, move, tighten" sequence will put everything in the proper alignment".
This was an earlier "quote" on 6-20-08 11:07AM from "bull8208" under the heading. "Uneven upper tailgate".
The proper tool is a 8mm E-torx wrench to be able to fit between the hatchback top lip and the inside of the rear window...but please don't tell anyone that I told you a 5/16" box wrench will do the same thing. Takes about fifteen minutes even taking your time doing a few adjustment tries. Good luck...

I don't have the issue with the window rubbing the body panel, everything is aligned. I do have the buzzing coming from the black cover that is inside on the upper part of the rear window. Not sure how to fix it. I wedged paper towels up there when it starts buzzing to stop it. It is VERY annoying. I haven't had time to take the cover off.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I missed that thread so will check it out. Sounds simple so I will give it shot first, then call the dealer if I can't get it.

Yes, the buzzing is very annoying - I looked for something to tighten up but couldn't find it so I also am headed to the "paper towel" fix at least for now to keep some sanity.
