I am interested to hear more of this, mine was doing this the DAY I picked it up and the dealer said it wasn't an issue. Well, everytime I wash it, this thing keeps dripping and draining onto the left side.

Interior motion sensor for the alarm was causing false alarms starting around 60 miles, basically the day after driving it home from the dealer. Originally the part was supposed to be waiting when I dropped off the car. Ten days later it still hadn't arrived so they deactivated the motion sensor and I picked up the car. When the part eventually arrived, it was about a 90 minute wait to get it swapped out. No problems now for 10 days anyway. Giving them the benefit of the doubt about not knowing they couldn't get the replacement part before I dropped it off, they get a "B." If they actually knew about the part problem, an "F."

Blower motor and microwave switch

Well at 2918 miles and approximately one month of ownership the blower started working intermittently. And to get the alarm system not to go off on it's own, I'd have to push the "tow" button on the dash before setting the alarm.

My guess for the blower motor was a loose connection between the switch on the dash and the motor - BINGO absolutely correct.

In the forums here was a report of someone having the same (similar) problem with the alarm and it being the "microwave sensor" - BINGO absolutely correct. The loose connection was fixed today and the replacement microwave sensor has been ordered and should be in on Wednesday. Service has to be rated at an A.

The whole process took from 10:40 am till 5:00 pm, a break of about an hour for lunch was in between and the service tech started on it at 11:00 am. Glad the clock was running on smart USA's dime 5x70%x$100= $350 ?????.

Also earlier, about 2000 miles, had the P0410 Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction that was fixed the same day as taken in. - Again Thanks to this forum and my Scangauge II.

At about 40 miles I had an electronic module in the shifter go bad. This is not the usual stuck shifter, but an electronic issue.
SmartcenterSeattle handled very promptly. A grade.

I'm having the AM radio poor reception issue, and they're, hopefully, going to replace the AM amplifier. Will let you know if that solves the issue.

Up coming problems I will get fixed under warranty ...some day

Not in any order

AM radio section if FUBAR in Radio 10 (may-haps AM antenna amplifier fault)
Green House sun shade is starting to act up and bunch up.... arrrgh!
I constantly smell burnt clutch smell when I put cargo in the rear boot
Passenger side roof/door/trim rattle
Mirrors shake too much at certain speeds
Drivers mirror assy outer cover has something wrong... cover flaps a LOT at 70~75 MPH.. (I suspect broken tabs internally from assembly of the cover)

Any photos of this mysterious air control valve out there? Sure would be nice to see it "in the flesh."

Sun Shade Replaced

No hassle replacement of sun shade at San Diego smart center, but new one just as bad. More convinced than ever that an inherent design flaw results in shade shrinkage and consequent binding.

I actually have a warranty claim...my first in about 10 months and 16K miles.

Water leak at the upper right (passenger) corner of the rear glass. According to SCI, the rear glass will be replaced and they have the part in stock. Someone posted that the frame and the glass were separating, allowing water to seep in.

The one thing that really upsets me is that I suppose I will have to pay to have my glass re-tinted. NOT happy about that.

My wife has kindly agreed to take it in next week. I'll update this post after it's repaired.

At 300 miles I had an oil leak at the pan. Car was in for 2 days so pan could set up before putting oil in. I guess its common to happen at the the beginning. No other issues thus far with 2900 miles on 09 Passion.
