about 11, 000 miles or so the tranny would not engage in reverse. Turned out to be a clutchplate and mine was the first of the cars to have that issue in my area. Lucky me the part was in stock and had the car back in a day ( And what a separation anxiety that was the only thing that made it better was driving my mothers Mercedes Benz wagon) had some brake lights go out, and then recently the blower fan would take its sweet time to kick in. With the winter being new england like in the Washington DC area, that was not too welcome. That time i waited two weeks for the part, but the dealership is pretty cool, so i was not too worried about that.
Am i upset? NO WAY. My older sister had a brand new Pontiac J200 back in 1982 that had so many issues you could fill a file box full and still have no room. She had issues from it stalling on a rainy day to the radiator falling off on a long road trip back from Texas. It also leaked oil like a sive and guess what somebody looked at the car and found a busted oil pan. She fought GM tooth and nail and got all her money back including interest. Compared to her i am getting off scott free. I have also heard of cars with similar problems to this day.
