Protective Film care?

I purchased the chiprotec (spelling?) when I got the car. I know the instructions say not to wash it for a certain amount of time, but I recently parked under a tree overnight and got sap ALL OVER the car. I really want to wash it, but I'm not sure if I'm past the crucial curing period for the film. Anyone know what I can do about it?

I got the film installed on the 20th or 21st of April.

I had the 3M ChipGuard protection put on my car the 8th. of May, and I've already hand washed my car twice since then. I haven't noticed any problem at all. I wouldn't take it to a car wash or use any kind of pressure, though! IMHO!
