Pucks & Wheel Torque for Commercial Tire Stores

What do you folks do when you take your car to a commercial tire place and they put it on thier 4 point lift? Do you provide 4 pucks/wood blocks for them to use?

Also, what is the torque value for the wheel nuts? Any different from "normal" wheels installed by the commercial places ?

When my car had to swap tires they just used a jack for each corner.

Thanks guys for the info. One more question on lift points:
Can the large horseshoe shape tube under the rear but used by the commercial lifts as a lift point?

Reason for all the questions is I expect to have some wheels installed soon and doubt seriously if the tire dealer I use has ever serviced a Smart.

do not use the swing arm for a lifting point...it is coated to protect it from the elements...any scratches in there and "hello corrosion"....if your tire shop can not use the provided lifting points move on...or teach them the right way...after all ...you're paying good money for the service and the customer is always right...

jetfuel...right some times

Jetfuel: Good point about scratching. I've been dealing with the shop for years and they will do whatever I ask; just want to be prepared to guide them the right way. Ha. I've cut out some wood blocks for the front but the rear point isn't as large. I'm guessing that jacks made for the Smart has some sort of neoprene cup that fits over the lip of the lift?

Pics posted in an earlier thread show that the dealers' lifts have small metal disks that fit into each of the four points.
