Purchase In Nj - Pa Inspection?

Considering adopting - wondering if anyone in Pennsylvania purchased in New Jersey and how they went about PA tags and getting PA State inspection?

The dealer you buy from should be able (and willing) to register your new smart in any state?

Provided it is within their AOR (area of responsibility)? (smartusa limits the zipcodes that a dealer can sell to, so that one dealer doesn't sell to someone in another dealers AOR)

I work at a dealership in VA, we have sold (and registered) to folks in WV, PA, MD and DC (and of course VA)?

I bought mine in PA and live in WV. They said they could not do the registration for me. No big deal...took paperwork to my DMV and had a tag 10 minutes later. Same for inspection...took it down to my buddy at a garage and had a WV inspection in a minute.

I bought my smart in Cherry Hill and had it inspected at the Pep Boys on Delaware Avenue in Philly. No problems.

The issue isn't registration. In PA, we have annual inspections and they can only be done in PA.
