Question (dumb?) on the Radio 10 MP3 player

I burned a mp3 cd for my wife with a number of her favorite albums on it. I used Nero 8 and put each album in a folder. When the cd is played the radio display shows the cd number and folder number and the name of the song.

Question: when I push the volume button to display the folder number only the number is displayed not the name of the folder. Am I missing something or is that the way it is supposed to be?

No, you're not missing anything... IN fact, I'm surprised the name of the song is even coming up on yours! Mine is all numbers. The owners manual for the Radio10 shows a way to turn on the "text" mode, but apparently we don't get that feature here... One of my biggest disappoinments (if that's all I have to complain about, I'm doing pretty well!) ) But it is a bummer...

We get the text mode here. Turn the radio on Press the SRC to go to the cd mode with the mp3cd playing press the menu button then press the left or right indicators on the seek/scan button until you get to mp3 text file press the volume button to set and you should have text, but it takes a couple of seconds to display.

Pressing the menu button and turning the volume knob gives you the various selections for random selection of the tunes.

pressing the menu button and the left/right button takes you through other menu options. When the option you want is displayed, pressing the volume button sets the option.

When a tune is playing and the name is displayed pressing the volume button displays the folder number and turning the volume control shows the volume numbers. Pressing the volume control selects the displayed volume

When you choose the text modes, you can choose to display either the file name, or use the ID3 tag. You can change the ID3 info in iTunes or Nero while burning the data CD.

Folder names are never displayed, just numbers.

I may be the village idiot. I just got my smart today and tried to set the radio to Text. Insturctions say, press menu button and then use arrow keys to get to radio/cd text. When I press the arriow keys it changes the radio stations, what am I missing?

I am not sure what mode I am in but when I rip a cd and put it on a MP3 cd I get the artist, name of the song etc. This does not seem to happen when playing a commercially produced cd.
