Rally Red scratches.

Seeing that my Rally Red panels are MIC (mixed in colour) do I try to fix scratches any differently than a painted panel?
I have a couple light scratches that I can see but not feel on a door panel and a deeper scratch on one corner where some bozo got me in a parking lot.......
I was going to search for basic scratch remover for clear coats but would appreciate any other ideas.

Darci, if you figure out a good fix, let me know. I've got a scratch in the driver's door (thanks to another parking lot bozo) that the smart center's body shop's best advice was to replace the door panel.. So far I'm living with it and trying to park in the end space at work.

You'd think having a tiny car, the drivers of those land yachts could actually miss whacking the doors, but nooooo... I've been tempted to put a sticker somewhere that says something like 'booby trapped; keep your distance'

I did once set off the panic alarm (on purpose) when someone was getting just a little too close. They jumped back a foot.. One of the advantages of having my car parked right outside my window at work..

I had a couple of scratches just below the bumper from a run in with the snowblower this winter. I used some claybar and it made them less noticeable but they were still there. They do show up much more on a black car.

On my yellow, I filled in a couple of scratches with clear coat and then used a very fine rubbing compound and then waxed. You can't even tell where the scratches were. - sheureka

Try Meguire's ScratchX

I had good luck with Meguire's ScratchX on my rally red. It's sort of a paste; comes in a tube. Eliminated some highly visible scratches where a bicycle fell against my car. You can buy it a most auto supply chain stores.

I bought a touch-up paint kit from the dealer - bottle of clear coat and a bottle of the tridion silver. You should be able to get it from a dealer, but I don't think it can be shipped. - sheureka

But why not? Have you actually tried it? I know the Tridion is powder coated, but isn't that just another form of plastic?
