Sorry I do not check the forums as much as I use to. I am more then happy to help with documents.

This does not mean I can email you the entire online WIS docs but if people are looking for something specific I will sure try and help.

You can reach me at bivy@smartcenterseattle.com and I will do my best to get back to you. Please be patient with me as I am the parts/service manager and the tech here.

Wow!
Now that's what I call service! What a Gem you are! At the Home Depot, we call that bleeding orange! I guess that Halo is really just a Silver Star!

Looks like they're gone from web storage as well:

Thanks J. It looks like all archives over a year or so old are gone from this site. The pix were taken along with jack point pix during the Smart Bloomfield open house.

The jack point pix still survive on my computer as well as a Sticky at the start of this forum. I'll search my HD again. A2Jack.

I was at my Smart dealer the other day to have a body panel bolt INSTALLED-yup missing, put new speakers in and no panel bolt under the mirror...
Anyway, I asked about a service manual, the tech told me that Penske is sitting on them, something about their business model, and will not release them for public consumption.

Anyways, there has to be a way...grey market, black market, somebody's market?!

This is a first for me, every new car I ever owned, that same day I bee bopped over to parts and ordered the factory manual...sure expensive from a dealer...but I am a gearhead, and an aviation mechanic...must have specs!

Hear, hear!
When I purchased my Saturn years ago, I was able to buy from GM the ENTIRE sevice volume, neatly bound in real service bay binders, eight each, for $250.

THIS is astounding. I can't even get a Haynes! In fact, the only real meat available is on this site.

One more glaring reason to become a SOCA member.

If you go to the smart USA web site there is a link now to allow you access to the WIS system. You have to pay for it but it will give you access to the same system we have here at the dealership.

Just be prepared to spend the first day trying to find the info you are looking for. Not an easy system to navigate.

smartseattle.....

Any guidance on how to use the WIS system, maybe an example how to find something. Certainly would help us save some time.
