roof coming unglued

i have had my car since the 18th of january and yesterday i found the the glue holding my roof has let go. The left front corner to the center is 12 inches. The lt front down the left side 18 inches. I called smart of dallas three times in two days and still no return call to make an appointment. How many times does it take to get a return call??????? it is a panorama roof

Press the issue. There were a very few early VINs involved in this NHTSA recall issue. This is important, and if the smart center is unresponsive, contact smartUSA.

On an '09 though? What was the specific recall issue? Are we talking about the panorama roof?

It doesn't matter what the reason if no one from the dealership calls back I become unglued. This happened often with my Audi dealership. When one finally talks to a live rep they are the friendliest, but calling a customer back is another issue.

My roof was replaced on the second day of the ownership (over a year ago). There are few smarts with that problem. All of them have the problem on the drivers front side.

...from the Gov recall papers..

SUCH DE LAMINATING CAN TAKE PLACE IN THE AREA OF THE BODY WHERE THE WINDSHIELD AND ROOF HAVE BEEN AFFIXED WITH ADHESIVE, WHICH COULD AFFECT THE ADHESION OF THOSE COMPONENTS TO THE VEHICLE BODY, INCREASING THE RISK OF SEPARATION. THIS COULD CAUSE A CRASH IF THE ROOF OR WINDSHIELD SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION.

the recall was for the powder coating not sticking to paint and the glue was pulling it up as well.
however that aside.
if your roof is coming up get it in NOW!! all it take is some wind to get under it on the free way and no more roof, but worse is the car behind you gets a big roof in its windshield....
