Discovered a leak in the roof of our Passion. Took it to the dealership EuroMotors, Germantown MD. Found out the roof is loose on the left front corner (passenger side). Dealership gave us a loaner. Will keep you posted on repairs.

We love the Smart car and had planed to order another in July. But this problem would be the deal killer if it turns out to be wide spread.
We have lived with the shifter and the other small issues that keep coming up, and had planed to buy a loaded Pure to beat the cabin heat from the Passion roof. But now this ???
What POs me is Smart/MB does nothing to cure these faults through recalls. A redesigned shifter should have been in our hands weeks ago. Instead they seem to be stone walling. Will this be the same story with the roofs? A2Jack.
Had mine for almost 2 months, parked on the street, had some hefty storms: no leaks. (Now I'll jinx it!)
What about those who were pummeled with storms recently? Any experience to share?
