I find that the beep is not all that loud and the radio can cover it.

In reality, so far I have only heard one good reason to disable a seatbelt alarm. It came from someone who drives on Frozen lakes. and wants to insure a fast escape in case of an emergency.

The Simple answer was get a seatbelt extender and leave it pluged in.

That being said, Last time this topic came up, Disable seat belt alarm on 451???? it turned so ugly the thread not only got locked, but was pulled from the site. So be carefull out their.

And yet you have internet... indoor plumbing... and at least one Smart car. Sounds like the USPS is behind the times.

Even Smithdale, MS (population measured in cattle and pine trees) has mail delivery to rural areas. But Google Maps suggests Bisbee has steep terrain.

This will explain part of it - The Bisbee 1000 Great Stair Climb!. And the post office has been in the same location, right down town, for over 100 years (from back in the days when Bisbee was the biggest town in Arizona) and is as much a social gathering place as a post office.

This is the second place I've lived with no mail delivery. The other one was Trinidad, CA -

That's Trinidad - and after 40 years living on the beach in California (Santa Monica, Ventura, Trinidad) - I moved to the mountains in southeastern Arizona, about 5 miles north of the Mexican border. My arthritis is much better, and my son lives in San Diego so I can go get my beach fix whenever I want to (though San Diego is not exactly Trinidad!) - sheureka

You should have your seat belt on anytime your care is moving.
It's not you that you have to worry about. It is the other drvers.
Most accidents happen one mile from home.

My store is 12 blocks from my house. There are 6 stop signs I rarely get up to 25 MPH between them. Every time I stop, the seat belt chime process starts over. Disconnecting the chime would be nice. Sometimes the seatbelt retract feature locks and I just about strangle myself trying to lean forward checking for side traffic.

A ticket for sure if you get pulled over by the police and you are sitting on a buckled seatbelt. Last one I saw in the paper was for $200 for a seatbelt violation.

Sorry, but in the last 30 years I've pulled more glass out of peoples' faces than I could possibly count. (From low velocity impact injuries. And, that's just the minor injury stuff.) It's made a seat belt wearer out of me - I won't even change parking places without putting it on. Do yourself a favor and buckle up.
