Shifting - "Click...Click" Driving me NUTS!

One of the first rattles I noticed was coming from the RIGHT side of the car. That one turned out to be the seat belt tapping the side of the car. Note to self: make sure seat belt is on the front of the seat when not in use.;)

Next thing I noticed is now I have an exhaust rattle at the end of braking and for several seconds after I've stopped. That one's going to the dealer, unless one of you has an answer.

Now I've been getting this "click.....click" at the beginning and end of the shift period. You know, lets off.... then engages again. Click.... click, click.... click. Through every gear change. WTF? Started looking around the cabin, under the seats, checked the belts, my gear in the back. Nothing. Finally, the solution came to me when I went through a drive through. Yep, it was the quarters that I had in the coin/token slots in front of the shifter. Nice that this car is quiet enough that you can hear coins rolling back and forth on the console.

Just worrying about your safety Docthrock: your left? not in use? Your's a right hand side drive?

LOL!

I did somewhat the same thing, heard something loose when I switched to manual mode. Couldn't figure out what it was...never made it before....until I realized it was the quarters on the slots.....

I had a nickel fall from my pocket and lodge inside the seat's left runner track. It made an annoying clinking sound on every bump. It took about 15 minutes to extract it with tweezers. Watch out for falling coins
