Smart car stopped starting

I confirmed this myself by tapping it with a hammer, started right up about 5 times in a row then won't start again till the starter got another light tap. I'll have the dealer fix it

I'm glad you could localize the problem! I hope they have the part readily available and it's a quick resolution. My hopes are that this is the only big issue you'll have with your car for years to come.

Thanks John, I hope your right about no more issues. But with car's "things" sometime happen. I told the dealer how I got the car to start No problem. Fun sunny day little car.
