They had to order a part for my car. I did not hear from them for two weeks so I called them. the service manager finally remembered they had worked on my car but they failed to order the part. He said they would get it. Then two days later called and said he lost the part number and wanted to know if I could give it to him off the service order they gave me.

They are a Porsche dealer and could care less about Smarts.
First, I was wondering....'where' DO smart techs get experience on a car that's only been here in the States less than 2 years? Also, they're a realatively new smart center, opening months after the original ones.

The other issues you mentioned are inexcusible, especially when you consider they have no service volumn yet. What will they do when they DO get busy?

I guess I've just always been one to give businesses a chance to make up to me a bad experience before I went 'public' and badmouthed them. Now, if any of their personnel read SCOA, I would imagine that you won't get much cooperation from them if you have any future issues. Remember: if you smart fails UNDER WARRANTY and must be towed, smart will only pay to have it taken to the NEAREST smart center. Some day, your venting may come back to bite you.

As to the timing of the original poster's comments, those are from nearly one year ago. Did I hear the center opened well after launch as well? By November 2008, how much time had Smart Cincy been open? The service situation was probably already much better around the beginning of this year, even moreso now.

Now big panda that is not true. Our staff treats every customer with respect and equality reguardless if they voice their complaints or not. People are entitled to their own opinions and if there is a complaint I would encourage it to be spoken in a civil mature manner. Like you stated in other posts not all dealerships/business are perfect. Yes, it was unexcusable and negligent. Speaking for the sales staff we apologize for any distaste any customer of ours may have for the dealership or service department. In defense to the low volume comment, we not only service Smarts but also Porsche and Used Cars. Our service department does have a tendency to get busy and does service a high volume of cars. Which, by no means, excuses forgetting to order a part. I will say that in the future if you feel at all unsatisfied with your service, parts, or any aspect of the dealership please contact either Charles, Doug or myself and we will do whatever necessary to make it right.
