Normally, a gas cap, for sure. It will still cost you $$$ at a shop. To be sure of course this could be a result of a damaged(open)line in your evap system.

PO072 showed up on my scangauge after airco quit, no outside temp, check engine light. Turned out to be loose instrument cluster connection after cruise control install. PO072 not on Evilution list.

The sheet I have indicates P0072 is not related to the instrument cluster. It's listed as: Exhaust Valve Control solenoid Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1

Curious; the most common definition I can find (doesn't mean it's right) is: P0072 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Input
