Smart tips, fixes and tricks...KEEP 'EM!

There is so much great info here. I am starting a directory on my computer to copy and paste all good helpful hints from you guys. When I get my car I will already have the stuff I need. I'm proud of our crew of motorheads. Keep it coming fellas. And thanks!

The video on changing the oil was interesting, but not too applicable for the American market. The US version has an oil drain plug on the left hand side of the engine as you face it from the rear. Not verified, but the maintenance guy at the dealership said that it has a screen that comes out of the drain opening that needs to be cleaned - much like an older airplane. Additionally the US oil filter doesn't have the nut shape on the bottom so a socket on a wrench isn't required. It appears to be just a miniature version of a standard oil filter with no internal removable filter - replace the whole thing.

DO they sell those pumps? That is so much less messy than just letting it pour.
