Snow Tires % Extra Wheels

So hot today I started thinking of cooler weather!

Would like to buy snow tires for "baby" and spare wheels to mount them on. Then when the time comes I won't be in the normal mad rush.

Is there any good non import tires to fit this car??

Where can I buy non fancy wheels?

Don't want my stock wheels to get eaten up by salt & slush!

Look at Tirerack.com They have Good priced smart wheels..

I'd be happy with a set of used Pure wheels; someone here (Mike-in-sa??) picked one wheel up in Europe for something like 20 Euros. Still looking for some on this side of the pond.

Unfortunately no fitments listed for snow tires for smart. In a quick check, I did come across some 14" tires that would work- Bridgestone Blizzak MZ03 in a 165/65 if one can get 14 wheels. Prolly the Canadian forum will have some options

Blazzak also has 175/55 for the rears

Give it a few months. I'm sure the Tire Rack will have some better options for the Smart including wheels, aftermarket tires, and snow tires. Right now all they have is OE stuff, which is standard ho-hum performance.

I'd like to look into a -1 option with 16" wheels. Blizzaks should be available for this car later this fall I would imagine.
