Found a good deal on an organizer for the back take a look athttp://www.caselogic.com
under automotive organizers The ATO-40 keeps stuff together and has a zip top the shield things from direct view.
List is $30 got mine at the local Wal-Mart for $15

Great ideas, I went to Target and bought a little storage thing for the back, it was like 15 dollars. Its come in handy, no zip top but great for keeping groceries in order. Its collapsible and has 2 sides, so I can collapse it when I don't need it.

I got the case logic cube at Target. Works great. Although I was and still am tempted to drive to our local MINI dealership to get the boot box for the smart. I think it'll fit perfectly in the smart.
