SuddenStop device, good option?

https://www.autosportcatalog.com/ind.../4709/sc/37647
Ok, it isn't a large sum of money, about $40 with shipping. But, I've made an awful lot of small gambles in my lifetime which didn't pan out so well. So, I'm asking:
Is this device worth $40? And, more importantly, is there a similar, but BETTER, device of this nature available ... regardless of price.

I'd call it a gimmick.

People that rear end others aren't paying too much attention to begin with, and I doubt a few flashy lights will help much.

You'll be out a $30 plate frame when you get hit, too :P

I'd stick with the SCOA plate frame. At least when you get hit they can say, "Oh your a member of SCOA, how I envy you!"

I fail to see how a couple LED's will prevent you from being rear ended, but that's just my opinion.

The LEDs provide just enough thrust to get you out of the way. It's all in the physics... !

Well, to the 3 who have replies so far: I thought they probably aren't bright enough to grab someone's attention. Or, they might notice it and react with puzzlement rather than with braking. Wouldn't have posted if I had no doubts, you're confirming those doubts. But, maybe if they were brighter. Oh well. Thanks.

Flamethrowing ones would probably work better, IMO.

Ooh, I like that better -- doesn't damage the smart (unless the fool crashes it).
