Tire Dressing Suggestions?

For a long time now I've been using Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss Tire Protectant Gel to treat the tires on my dark grey second car, and have been satisfied with the shine and longevity of the treatment. Now that I have my smart, which is white, I find that tire treatment and subsequent driving leaves the sides of my car covered in little black oily spots from the dressing being thrown off the tires. This wasn't noticed on the dark grey color on my other vehicle, but it's very noticeable on the white panels.

I normally apply a moderate coat of the Meguiar's, let it dry for 10-15 minutes, and then wipe the tires down with a cloth to remove as much excess as reasonably possible. Usually, it then gets to dry overnight before being driven. Unfortunately, this wipe-down and dry doesn't get into all of the crevices that the tire treatment got into and the additional dry time helps little.

I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have as to a dressing that you have used which gives a good shine, lasts for some minimal period of time (2 + weeks or more) and actually dries on the tire in order to be able to drive the car without having to wax it after each time you take it out. A source for your suggested dressing would also be helpful if it's not a nationally known brand.

Thanks for your inputs.

Don't spray it onto the tire. use a sponge....one application should do all for tires.
Dressed tires are a hazard when driving agressively.....and very harsh on the paint.

Find a local auto detail supplier and buy the generic stuff....they are pretty much all the same so buying bulk will save you a few bucks.

Let it dry overnight...

Also, I use No Touch which seems to dry very quickly.

Try Pep Boys tire dressing, cheap & works well.
Also Teflon By Dupont (available WalMart, AutoZone etc.) .
I use both and like them.
I hate the stuff that leaves an oily/gummy residue on the tires.

Well, for Easter I dressed my tires in a very nice, frilly pink & blue lace! It was 'kinda hard keeping the lace on though. I had to poke it into the wheels!!! I also had some patent leather shoes to go with the lace, but I couldn't figure out how to keep them on! Actually, I'm glad you asked that question, because I've been looking for something different myself. I was using a spray-on in a can, but I don't remember the name. Just used the last of it the other day. Didn't make them very shiny, though! Think I'm going to look into the "No Touch" products and try that next!!

I've been using the Armor All spray on tire dressing foam. Just shoot it on in a quick circle and then ignore. It'll dry up in a bit and looks good for a couple of weeks. No wiping, etc. If it needs renewing it can be done in a matter of seconds. . .
