One of my friends upgraded to the larger wheels on his truck. Factory TPMS where not compatible with his new rims, but he did not wanted to have the warning light on his dash or spend money on the new sensors. What we did is drilled three additional holes in one of the tiny spare tire rim and installed ALL 4 TPMS on that one spare tire. Then he hid it somewhere in the truck and happyly driving it for a couple of years now. Unfortunatelly that is not an option in the Smart (at least I do not want to have the useless spare tire in my car) :-)

Wouldn't it have required much less effort to simply remove the warning light from the dash?

Garage
you can get a set of them for $76.00 for your new rims and be don with them. I plan on getting them if I do get new rims for the snows. After all. that $76.00 will seem small if it saves you from a flat in wintry weather.

Not really, much less effort would be a little piece of black electrical tape......
