UltraSeal a-coming !!

After reading all the write-ups regarding UltraSeal, I ordered a gallon, scheduled to be dropped off by the Big Brown Truck tomorrow.

Before I squirt that stuff in my tires, has anyone encountered any problems using it ?

Messed up the tire sensors ?

Threw the tires out of balance ?

Anything ?

Bueller ? Bueller ?

I've run it for about 6 mos. in a 08 smart & an 02 Tiburon... Had slow leaks, caused by new housing area nails. Absolutely sold on it!!! No sensor probs., or balance problems...Getting ready to put it in the 09 smart...Ross

I got an e-mail from UltraSeal saying that their product wouldn't hurt the TPMS sensors, so I squirt the blue stuff in my tires this morning.

Install was extremely easy, for those considering it, watch the DVD that comes with the kit. It has one very necessary tip; a bucket of water and a sponge. You'll need it to clean your rims after you pump the stuff in, the escaping air will spray some out onto your rims (very little) until you get the valve cores back in. No worries though, it's water soluable in the beginning.

They recommend going for a 3-5 mile ride after install to coat the tires.

I didn't notice any ride difference, and I'm glad that I'm now protected in case of punctures. No spare in my smart !!

Mud Pie: Thanks for the report. I assumed it would be necessary to jack the car up and deflate the tire to install it. That's not true? In any case, you and dopco are very encouraging.

Nope, no need to deflate the tires.

When you pull the valve core, quickly place your thumb over the valve. Then you put the Ultraseal fitting over the valve, pump in the Ultraseal, pop off the fitting, insert the valve core and you're done.

Naturally, you lose some air, just top it off and you're done.

Yep, it'll work on any tire. Car/truck/motorcycle/bike. Tube or tubeless. It comes with a spec sheet with all tire sizes.

Does pulling the valve core mess up the sensors?

Where did you get yours? How much was it? How many tires will a gallon do? Are you using the "commercial" or the "bulletproof" ?
