What are the 2 clips under the lighter for?

Okay, I've searched here for it, and thumbed through my owner's manual, and look at the accessory catalog for what might fit there and cannot find anything. What are the two spots on the passenger's footwell, below the 12v power outlet for??? They look pretty obvious that things could clip there, but what?

If you're talking about the two big slots under the aux power outlet, those are for the OEM CD holder and ashtray accessory packs offered by smart.

It would be cool to be able to mount other things there, like a gooseneck for my phone, GPS, etc.

Or a mount for other things like a platform for small computer or a small table when one is getting drive-thru? When there are more Smart Fortwo's on the road, I think there will be more things that could clip there.
