What's your mileage been running? So far ours has not done over 39 mpg.

My car has 510 miles on it and I did the first "real" fill up this week (the dealer didn't really fill it). I use 93 octane and got 38 mpg with a lot of hills in my area. I'm pretty confisent that when its broken in, and with the DT exhaust and a K&N filter, I'll be well over 40.

Would be nice if we could find a way to see the impact of ethanol blends on the mileage. Most of our gas is 10% ethanol and I'm convinced that leads to lower mpg.

In Texas, Velero gasoline has anywhere from 0-6% Ethanol. However, there is no way to know what the content of Ethanol is at any given time. Specifications are stated here: http://tinyurl.com/3f2jk5

All gas in the US has ethanol in it. The EPA required it after MTBE was removed last year for being too toxic. All US spec cars can run up to 10% ethanol without problems performance wise. US spec cars have been designed for this since the Arab Oil embargo days. The ethanol is used to improve the anti-knock capabilities of the gas.

From www.citgo.com/CustomerSupport/QuestionsAnswers.jsp

Quote:
Q: Do CITGO products contain ethanol or methanol?
A: CITGO does not use methanol in its gasoline. CITGO gasoline may contain ethanol, but primarily only in select areas where it's the oxygenate of choice to meet federal regulations for reformulated gasoline. Regulations require that if a gasoline contains ethanol, that fact must be posted clearly on the retail dispenser. If you don't see this or a similar posting, the gasoline shouldn't contain ethanol.
This leads me to believe it is possible to buy ethanol free gas in the U.S.
