Where is the temperature sensor?

A few days ago I took my car to a self serve car wash. I used the pressure wand to get rid of some dust, dried the car and drove away.

As I was moving down the road I noticed the in dash temperature display was reading 10-15° too low, and was fluctuating. After a few minutes of driving the reading came up to what seemed realistic and stabilized.

I suspect I must've gotten the sensor wet. But, is this even possible? Where is the sensor located? A SCOA search failed me.
