I'd cleaned mine a couple of times. Once with window cleaner and another time with just microfiber towel. Frustrated I drenched a paper towel with vinegar and cleaned it that way. That's been a couple of weeks ago now and it took care of that fogging/film issue.

Hum, hubby's car won't even allow recirc if his defrost is on. Athough my monte (diff year from his) would let me. Maybe he should have his looked at.

..I found out that the windshield will not fog up too bad if you put your cloth back on..

If you leave the recirc button on, The windows will fog up, in cold weather. Use the recirc button/heater to get the car warm inside, then turn it off before windows fog up. This is true to any car.
