windshield replacement

Huge rock hit the windshield of my Fortwo the other day. Not repairable. Any idea how/where I can get a new windshield installed?

You could try ZAP www.zapworld.com based in Santa Rosa, CA. They can probably find you someone. There are a couple of gray market dealers in the NW.

I would try online do a google search for fixmywindshield they could find you somone to bring the windshield in from out of state if needed

That's a real bummer. Hope some of this info helps speed the resolution.

There are several threads, including one with step by step photos of Safelight installing her new windshield.

There's another 10 page long one that might have some additional info, but I seem to recall that everyone did well with Safelight. The "trick" apparently is to keep after them to make sure they order and then pick up the replacement:

If you need a new windshield call your insurance first they will give you a company to replace it. The windshield company can get it from you Smart dealer.

If you have rain sensor make sure they don't let it hang while installing the winshield tape to up temporarily.

It is no big deal I had mine done within 72 hour from time the crack accured.
