SmartBuyer

I have not figured out why people pay some of the ridicules prices I see on this forum.

Wiper Blades:

I just Received, installed and have used the new 'Frame-less', 'Lattitude' blades on the front of the Smart (they don't come short enough for the rear).

Bought them on Ebay, arrived in less than a week and fit the Smart perfectly.

Cost way less than any prices I've seen mentioned on this site.

To see if anyone cares, I will happily give details upon request.

The trico techs are also beefy as hell and look awesome with the lower mounts. They wipe clean and quietly without chatter. Came with removal and replacement instructions - easy install. Picked them up online - they actually cost LESS than the neoforms.
I too got the Trico "Tech Beams". I got them at my local Advanced Auto for $11.49 each !!

Just put Latitudes on my Smart. I had found the sizes here on the forum but was pleased to learn that RainX and apparently some other suppliers are now listing the Smart, so your local parts store should have no problem finding the right blades. Still haven't found a rear blade.

Our wiper arms match that of many new GM's, they have to have those adapters included or have unhappy customers... Wiper blades shouldn't ever be a problem.

I just bought a drivers side (22") RainX Latitude at Wal Mart. Their customer assist computer listed it (yea, the smart is finally in there). At $17.97 + tax for the single blade, pretty pricey IMO.

Removing the old blade was a piece of cake. And, fortunately, putting it back on was also easy ... since I have so far been unable to figure out how to install the new one.

It comes with a couple adapters. None of the arm illustrations in the installation manual look like the smart's.

Which adapter did you use? Or, any other info would be appreciated.

BTW, me and wiper installation have never gotten along well. But, I don't want to have to pay to have a darn wiper installed.

I have not changed wipers on a smart yet,but by gazing pictures on the net I would say i&l as there apppears to be a small hook on the end of the arm.
